Christmas Dance Recital

McKenna had her last dance recital of the year, and maybe for a while. She has decided that she wants to do gymnastics, so we are driving her the 45 minute, each way, to Lindon to what I have been told is the best gym in Utah. She did amazing at her recital and I was really sad to take her out of dance, we will see what comes with gymnastics. Isn't she adorable?

Halloween 2009

Halloween was a lot of fun this year in our family. Tredyn wanted to be something scary and settled on being a "scary joker". His costume was pretty cool!! I finally gave in and allowed McKenna to be Hannah Montana. Isn't the wig adorable :) Ty wanted to be a ninja and wouldn't use one of the two that Tredyn has been in the past. He had to have his own. His eyes in that ninja costume were amazing. He has these huge, blue eyes and only being able to see them in his costume was so dang cute!! Tredyn and his friend, Connor, went trick-or-treating for over 2 hours and came home with a pillowcase full, each! They had a blast and can't wait until next year. Martin and I were lame, yet again, and didn't dress up. One day I will get with the program and will actually have the time to look for "the" costume, but until that day, you will just have to endure.

Corn Maze

Here we go again...three months later and I am posting :( Oh, well, you get what you get so don't throw a fit (as Tyler likes to say). I'll just go ahead and update what's happended since the beginning of October...We took the kids to Thanksgiving Point's Halloween festival. The kids had a blast, even though it was FREEZING and it poured on us for a while!! We went and did the corn maze, without a stroller!, this year which was lots of fun. This picture is of the Martin, Tredyn and Kenna on the hay ride.

I have found that I honestly SUCK at keeping a blog!! No matter how hard I really want to keep it going, something else always comes along and this is the last thing that I think about! Darn that stinkin' facebook :) I really have had a good reason not to post and not because I'm always on facebook, that reason is because on August 31st, I was called as the 1st counselor in the Stake Young Women's presidency. Here in Eagle Mountain, that is a pretty hefty calling, with us having 13 wards and close to 300 Young Women!! Needless to say, I have had meetings with each ward's presidency, 2 ward conferences, 2 activities, 1 training and 4 stake meetings just since that date, so my time is very precious to me now. I did have to speak twice on Sunday, one at a ward's conference, directly to the Young Men and Women and the other at a training for all the presidencies and their advisors and I have to say that I felt very confident and feel that I did extremely well, all things considered. I've just kept saying that if I can make it through October, life will be good. Anyway, on to something fun, the kids started school in August. Tredyn is in 3rd grade and has Mrs. Andes, who he seems to really like. She is starting him on 4th grade math because he gets bored during math time. McKenna has Mrs. Frampton and loves going to school. Tyler is in the preschool at Eagle Valley, four days a week, three hours each day, which leaves me time to myself. Not that I really do anything fun. I try to get my work done in that time, so that I don't have to work when the kids are at home. We are all loving it and looking forward to what the year brings.

We went and had family pictures taken when Adam and Shiree came down with their new baby, Skylie. I am pretty happy with the way this picture turned out, although when you blow it up, which I did, my hair is sticking to McKenna's and it looks horrible!! From far away, it looks great.

Here is a beautiful picture from up at Girl's camp at Heber Valley. We stayed at the Marjorie Pay Hinckley camp ground. This is the only site that the temple committee overlooks. The missionaries told us that this was the only site that had been dedicated by President Hinckley and is considered the temple on the mountain. It was breathtaking. This picture was taken on the three mile hike, which I am happy to say, we were the group that DID NOT get lost :)

In July as well, Tredyn had his first pinewood derby race. For being his first year, he did remarkably well. He placed 2nd in almost every race, but overall, he didn't win. Next year we know the secret to make the car go faster, TOOTHPASTE!!
