I have found that I honestly SUCK at keeping a blog!! No matter how hard I really want to keep it going, something else always comes along and this is the last thing that I think about! Darn that stinkin' facebook :) I really have had a good reason not to post and not because I'm always on facebook, that reason is because on August 31st, I was called as the 1st counselor in the Stake Young Women's presidency. Here in Eagle Mountain, that is a pretty hefty calling, with us having 13 wards and close to 300 Young Women!! Needless to say, I have had meetings with each ward's presidency, 2 ward conferences, 2 activities, 1 training and 4 stake meetings just since that date, so my time is very precious to me now. I did have to speak twice on Sunday, one at a ward's conference, directly to the Young Men and Women and the other at a training for all the presidencies and their advisors and I have to say that I felt very confident and feel that I did extremely well, all things considered. I've just kept saying that if I can make it through October, life will be good. Anyway, on to something fun, the kids started school in August. Tredyn is in 3rd grade and has Mrs. Andes, who he seems to really like. She is starting him on 4th grade math because he gets bored during math time. McKenna has Mrs. Frampton and loves going to school. Tyler is in the preschool at Eagle Valley, four days a week, three hours each day, which leaves me time to myself. Not that I really do anything fun. I try to get my work done in that time, so that I don't have to work when the kids are at home. We are all loving it and looking forward to what the year brings.

We went and had family pictures taken when Adam and Shiree came down with their new baby, Skylie. I am pretty happy with the way this picture turned out, although when you blow it up, which I did, my hair is sticking to McKenna's and it looks horrible!! From far away, it looks great.

Here is a beautiful picture from up at Girl's camp at Heber Valley. We stayed at the Marjorie Pay Hinckley camp ground. This is the only site that the temple committee overlooks. The missionaries told us that this was the only site that had been dedicated by President Hinckley and is considered the temple on the mountain. It was breathtaking. This picture was taken on the three mile hike, which I am happy to say, we were the group that DID NOT get lost :)

In July as well, Tredyn had his first pinewood derby race. For being his first year, he did remarkably well. He placed 2nd in almost every race, but overall, he didn't win. Next year we know the secret to make the car go faster, TOOTHPASTE!!

I am finding out that I am really not much of a blogger!! I guess all things considered, I have been extremely busy these past two months and now that school has started, I thought life was settling down. I do have some news (NO! I'm not pregnant), but I will not be able to post that for a couple of weeks at least, just in case!! I'm going to catch up on some of the past few months. I ended up going to our church Girl's camp at the end of July for a week and it was truly an amazing experience. The girls in this valley are absoultely amazing and I can't wait for the next opportunity to be with them! The picture above is our Bear Lake trip with the Passey's in July. We took Martin's parents waverunners out and we had a blast! I was almost able to get my self up in waterskiing which is a first for me. I wish I was a little bit stronger, or maybe just not so scared of the water :) We had a lot of fun and can't wait to go again.

Guess what?!? Tredyn got glasses! He picked them out all by himself, and I have to say, he looks pretty cute. He's been treating them so well, better than I thought he would.

He's really excited to have them.

Here's the whole gang!!

4th of July

Brook and Clayton came over for a BBQ and homemade ice cream (YUMMMY!!). We had our neighbors Carla and Damon come over as well and ended up playing games. It was a really fun night. When it got dark, we gathered as a neighborhood to have a water balloon fight and light off fireworks. This year Tredyn didn't light off a single one, instead him and Shaylin, stole water balloons from the neighbor kid's stash. It was hilarious to see them sneaking them past in their shirts. McKenna and Zoey are always so cute together. Zoey wanted Kenna to be with her all night.

While we were in California, we decided to go to Legoland, although I would still have preferred Disneyland, even though we've been there so many times. It was fun, but it's definetely a one-time visit. I love this picture because I asked the kids to be baby dinosaurs and all Ty wanted to do was watch McKenna and Tredyn.
McKenna and Daddy after the recital!

McKenna had her last dance recital for the year. She danced to "The Tiki Room". Her costume was amazing!! There will be feathers all over my house and car, forever! My favorite part was when they shook their little booties. I can't wait for the DVD of it to come in so I can laugh at how cute she is! This is McKenna (the one on the left) and her best friend Aevyn before the dance.

This is Tredyn's last baseball game of the season. He is a really good player, but we noticed that his game was a little off this year. He informed us that he is seeing two balls, I guess that means it's time to take him in for an eye exam!! (By the way, Tredyn's the one at bat)

Here's Me, My dad, LeAnne, Mike and Tyler!!

We went to California in June and spent the day at Huntington Beach. It was so much fun to have a lot of family there. Dad, LeAnne, Mike, David, Chelsea, David's girlfriend Ashley and Chelsea's friend, who is also Ashley all came. We spent all day there playing in the water, going boogie boarding, playing volleyball and having a sunset campfire. It was especially fun to be with David since I haven't seen him in 4 years. He was my favorite little cousin, we are 10 years apart, so I always got to babysit him when he was younger. I can't wait to see everyone again soon.

For Mother's day we decided to go to the zoo. We went with, Brook, Clayton and Zoey and Adam, Shiree, Jessa and Jace. The day was specifically designed around moms and they even gave out free massages, which was heavenly. The family all got their faces painted and they did an amazing job. Martin and Tyler had snakes, Tredyn had an eagle, McKenna a penguin and I had a butterfly. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mom. I hope that when my kids are older, they will think of me as being wonderful. One day we might get there!!
I'm finally blogging!!! After reading Martin's friend, Jared's, blog, I decided I really needed to get one started for all my family to see. I'm hoping that I will do good at this, it certainly won't look as good as Jared's:) but I will try. I have taken some really great pictures lately, so I plan on going as far back as Mother's day and will start there. I hope you enjoy!!
